Welcome to our online Starting a Business over 50 Programme.

This programme is designed, delivered, and coached by later-in-life entrepreneurs.

The programme is organised into 4 Modules, with multiple startup tools, activities, worksheets, and resources, and options for 1 to 1 coaching session via Zoom.

The overall aim is to take you from your starting idea ….. to a Business Model that works ….. to the launch of your new business venture.

Pre-course checklist

Our pre-course checklist ensures that you have considered the rewards and challenges of starting a new business venture.

As this is aimed at first time business venturers, we want to make sure you have self-assessed the time required and the equipment to complete this course online.

Participants need to bring their own startup idea, commitment, passion, and best endeavours.

Starting your own business is a wonderful achievement.

Yes, it requires genuine effort and commitment, but it will bring you much personal satisfaction and reward.

How the online programme works

The programme has been deliberately designed to be as flexible as possible.

This is to allow access that fits in with your circumstances.

  • Each online module, with its accompanying activities and worksheets, takes between 12-20 hours of study time (depending on backgrounds).

  • You work through each Module at your own pace. You will learn new startup tools and then apply them to your starting idea, At the end of each Module, you can choose whether or not to take part in individual coaching sessions (these are recommended, but it is entirely your choice).

  • Feedback from previous participants has stressed that the coaching sessions are very helpful in applying the new tools and techniques introduced in the Modules to participants’ starting ideas and in creating a Business Model that works.

  • All Modules have defined Learning Outcomes. This means that you know in advance what you are going to be learning during each part of your startup journey.
